Stephanie Shantz is a Mechanical Engineer at Lockheed Martin Space with Advanced Programs. Within this role, she supports both the NASA NextSTEP Lunar Habitat program, as well as Lunar Surface Architecture development.

Shantz has previous experience on the Human Landing System Crew Systems team. She was the lead for the lunar dust mitigation system, which included both technology research and development for novel dust mitigation solutions, and hardware validation testing. In this role, she was also responsible for the subsystem requirements and design documentation.

Stephanie joined the Lockheed Martin team in 2019 where she began her professional career as an Electronics Packaging Engineer. She has previous experience in the defense industry interning for two other contractors: General Atomics Aeronautical Systems and Leidos.

Shantz is a proud University of Michigan alumna, graduating with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 2019. She has a passion for engagement and outreach, both within Lockheed Martin and the Michigan alumni network.
